Conventional Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is the branch of engineering concerned with all methods of detecting and evaluating flaws in materials. Flaws may be cracks or inclusions in welds and castings, or variations in structural properties that can lead to loss of strength or failure in service. The essential feature produces no deleterious effects on the material or structure.
UT is a conventional non-destructive testing (NDT) method for thickness testing. Using UT, we can detect extremely small flaws or discontinuities in a product, with only one surface required for exposure. With UT equipment, we can provide quick and highly accurate inspections.
Dry or wet fluorescent magnetic particle examinations are performed on ferromagnetic materials to detect surface and slight subsurface discontinuities such as cracks, seams, laps, voids, or flaws.
Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)
Liquid penetrant testing is used to detect defects open to the surface or to show open surface cracks. Red dye or fluorescent penetrants are utilized as well as various types of wet and dry developers. Flourescent dye examinations are done under black light to detect fatigue.
Eddy Current (ET)
Eddy Current testing is one of the most reliable ways to detect flaws in conductive material. It is capable of detecting small cracks in the material. It provides the fastest results and audit times. With Eddy Current testing, you can have fastest results and audit times.
Visual Inspection (VT)
Once in service, repairs to defective parts can be difficult and costly. To avoid extra costs, visual inspection of welds is performed to find and determine small defects. Our inspectors are trained to verify that the pipeline meets industry standards.
