Visual Inspection

Visual Inspection is the original method of NDE/NDT. It is the process of looking over a component with the naked eye to look for flaws.

Visual inspection can be used on both internal and external surfaces of components.

Visual inspection is simple, does not require any advanced technologies or equipment as compared to other methods. Visual inspection  still has many advantages as compared to other methods; it is far more cost effective ,  it is one of the easiest inspection techniques to perform and it is reliable.
